The period starting from 2024 has been marked by new developments in town planning and coastal infrastructure. During this time, the pier and the waterfront were connected by the construction of a bridge, further shaping the appearance and functionality of the harbor itself. Simultaneously, work was carried out on the renovation of the waterfront and the redevelopment of Palada, which has once again gained significance in the daily life of the town. Additionally, the section of the beach below the Depadanse was landscaped, further enhancing the quality of the seaside experience.
A particularly interesting detail from this period is the removal of the old cannon at the beginning of the pier, which had served as a mooring bollard for years. Its restoration and planned placement at a new location represent a blend of preserving local heritage and modern spatial design.
Postcards from this era capture Karlobag in a process of transformation—a fusion of tradition, spatial interventions, and the emerging new identity of the town.
